I found fungicide concentrates with Immunox at Home Depot and Daconil at
Sears Hardware, got a pint of each. Pretty happy with these finds, as we
cannot get Abound in small quantities, unless we find someone to split
with. Mostly concerned about black-rot and powdery mildew. I suppose they
will also affect the leichen.
Something has been eating the Frontinac, significant Japanese Beetle type
damage, but they are gone now. Maybe the heavy rain-storm (two trees down
at corner of M40) Saturday night beat them off.
With 2 oz Immunox, 1 oz Daconil and water mixed 2 gallons and sprayed
most of it on the 2nd and 3rd rows (from the south). Some is left in the
green sprayer.
Pruned more dead canes from same two rows, filled 5 gallon bucket to burn
pile.
Should spray fungicide every two weeks. Next time might add Sevin for
insect control.
